Extraordinary General Meeting

The Friends’ Constitution was updated in 2013/14. The Charity Commission were informed of this change at that time but due to an oversight by the Friends Council in 2013/14, and a missed communication, it was not approved by the Commission. The change was finally approved by the Commission on the 11th of September 2026. In order to move on, it is necessary for us to hold a General Meeting of the Friends to formally approve this historic change.

Due to an oversight by the Friends Council in 2013/14 the Constitutional change made then was not accepted by the Charity Commission. The Charity Commission approved this change on the 11^th of September 2026. In order to move on, it is necessary for us to hold a General Meeting of the Friends to formally approve this historic change.

The 2014 Constitution now being proposed is identical to that voted on, and unofficially approved, at an AGM, chaired by Anne Cadbury in 2013.
