SUMMARY:Extraordinary General Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Friends’ Constitution was updated in 2013/14. The Charity Commission were informed of this change at that time but due to an oversight by the Friends Council in 2013/14\, and a missed communication\, it was not approved by the Commission. The change was finally approved by the Commission on the 11th of September 2026. In order to move on\, it is necessary for us to hold a General Meeting of the Friends to formally approve this historic change. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nExtraordinary General Meeting of the Council to be held \n\n\n\nSaturday 21st November 2026 at 10.15am \n\n\n\nin the Parish Hall\, Tewkesbury Abbey \n\n\n\nAGENDA \n\n\n\nPlease note: \n\n\n\nThis meeting will be recorded \n\n\n\n1. Welcome and apologies \n\n\n\n2. The Friends’ Meeting Prayer \n\n\n\n3. A vote to be taken to approve the acceptance of the 2014 Constitution \n\n\n\nDue to an oversight by the Friends Council in 2013/14 the Constitutional change made then was not accepted by the Charity Commission. The Charity Commission approved this change on the 11th of September 2026. In order to move on\, it is necessary for us to hold a General Meeting of the Friends to formally approve this historic change. \n\n\n\nThe 2014 Constitution now being proposed is identical to that voted on\, and unofficially approved\, at an AGM\, chaired by Anne Cadbury in 2013. \n\n\n\nThe meeting will close – please note there will be no AOB
